ABOUT THE CEO

I am Amy Buckert, CEO of AMB Local Government Solutions, I have over 20 years of demonstrated experience across all major facets of municipal management. My expertise includes finance and budgeting, policy analysis, economic development, public safety, and systems/process improvement. I am dedicated to enhancing governance through strategic problem-solving and effective leadership.

Education and Certification
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a specialization in local government from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I am also a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) with certification from the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas (GFOAT).
Professional Experience
My career spans various aspects of municipal management, including capital projects planning, interagency collaboration, contract negotiation, citizen engagement, and coaching/team building.
Approach and Skills
I excel in problem-solving, consensus-building, and customer service. My approach involves leveraging staff contributions through mentoring, fostering positive work environments, igniting passions, and promoting integrity to achieve outstanding results.
Hands-on Experience
I possess practical experience working in a variety of cities, ranging from 2,300 to 125,000 residents. This diverse background provides me with a deep understanding of local government challenges and opportunities, enabling me to address municipal issues effectively.
